There's a New Slayer in Town
Traxxas has just released the next generation Slayer Pro 4x4 nitro short course truck! Featuring a new 30mm longer extended chassis and wide-track suspension that adds 26mm of width, the Slayer Pro 4x4 packs even more highlights including their "Traxxas Link" 2.4gHz radio system, new high-torque waterproof servos, and new hard-anodized Teflon-coated GTR shocks. Powered by a Traxxas Extreme TRX 3.3 engine, the Slayer Pro is available in 3 new body styles with officially licensed BFGoodrich and Kumho replica tires.

I'd hate to bash the guys at traxxas, but it seems as if they threw a slayer suspension on a revo chassis...

traxxas' stupidest move.
The original slayer was useless. They dont handle well at all, you can't take advantage of the rocker arm suspension since the body is in the way. The beauty of it was the suspension travel it got. Now it's going to be too big to be adequate for an open CORR class and it's probably going to be $500-600
The original SLAYER we sold TWO of at the hobby shop, thats it. One guy hates his and the other one disapeared. We sell tons and tons and tons of traxxas' other vehicles, electric and nitro and the slayer was the biggest bust of them all. The only person who has it at the local track (which supports near 200 entries weekly of various classes) is my friend JT who built his out of a revo since he couldn't sell his revo and wanted to play with something different.

Yeah over here the slash 4x2 is where it's at! Sometimes we'll sell a 4x4, but everyone wants "what that guy has" lol

we sell quite a few 4x4's, we sell more of the 2wd's for price factor and fun for the buck but the 4's are popular. Racing wise we have 4 heats of stock 4x2, 3 heats of 4x4 open and 1-2 heats of 2wd mod.
